The bread delivery truck was arriving just as I left the grocery store yesterday. It sped through the parking lot at what I thought was a rather alarming rate. Though I was at safe distance, I was concerned for some of the other shoppers. There was one elderly couple in particular that I felt had a rather narrow escape.

I'm trying to stay out of the way, but still be at hand should anything happen that needs my attention.  I was using the same philosophy last week when the painters were here.  What to do when large portions of you house are unavailable to you? Well, I write.

The entire jar is small enough to fit in my tea mug with room to spare for tea.  That isn't my issue. I was willing to pay the price.  I was also aware that the the nut oil would have separated from the rest of the product.  I expect that with a natural nut butter.

This is where I've been working recently.  The building is almost 100 years old and is right across the road from the ocean.  It currently houses two other establishments. The lower left portion of the building belongs to my workplace.

Yesterday I was afraid of lightening induced wildfires.  Today I'm afraid to look in the newspaper.  I've done something totally out of character and I fear there may be photographic evidence. Can you guess where I was today?  Rubber boots. Dirty knees.  They can only mean one thing.  Spring is here and I spent my morning at Sleeping Cougar Acres.  It was my first working visit in a while, and I was thrilled to be back.

There are a half dozen duck eggs in my fridge.  I'm not sure why I bought them.  Probably because I've never had the opportunity before.  Maybe because I have some vague memory of my grandmother buying duck eggs. It just seemed like the right thing at the time.  

Now I'm not sure what to do with them.  Today I took them out of the fridge and took pictures of them.

Take a close look at the upper left corner of the photo.  See that?  There's snow in the mountains.  About 190cm of snow.  That's not unusual.  It is December after all.
